Farmhouse Garlic Chicken Thighs
Simple ingredients, cozy flavors, made for slow living. Let the chicken rest a few minutes before serving to keep it juicy and tender.
Ingredients
- 6 bone-in, skin-on chicken thighs
- 4 cloves garlic, minced
- 3 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tbsp butter
- 1 tsp dried thyme
- 1 tsp dried rosemary
- 1 tsp salt
- ½ tsp black pepper
- ½ cup chicken broth
- 1 tbsp lemon juice
- Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
- Pat chicken thighs dry and season with salt, pepper, thyme, and rosemary.
- Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add chicken skin-side down and cook until golden, about 5–6 minutes.
- Flip and cook another 4 minutes. Remove chicken and set aside.
- In the same skillet, reduce heat to medium. Add butter and garlic, sauté until fragrant, about 1 minute.
- Pour in chicken broth and lemon juice, scraping up the brown bits.
- Return chicken to the skillet, skin-side up. Spoon sauce over the top.
- Simmer covered for 15–18 minutes, until chicken is cooked through and tender.
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm with your favorite sides.
