Simple, wholesome, made from real fruit — no pectin, no long boil, just berries thickened naturally with chia.

Instructions

  1. Warm the berries: cook the berries in a small saucepan over medium heat until juicy and softened, about 5–7 minutes.
  2. Mash gently to your preferred texture — rustic or smooth.
  3. Stir in the alternative sugar and lemon juice, and adjust to taste.
  4. Remove from the heat, stir in the chia seeds, and let sit 5–10 minutes to naturally thicken.
  5. Add vanilla or cinnamon if desired.
  6. Spoon into a jar and refrigerate for up to 1 week.

Delicious on toast, yogurt, oatmeal, or as a filling for crepes and pastries.
