Soft-Baked Pumpkin Oat Dog Treats
Healthy, gentle, homemade always. Three ingredients, soft enough for a Cavalier — made with love for my little queen.
Ingredients
- 1 cup pumpkin purée (plain)
- 1 cup oat flour
- 1 large egg
- Optional boosters:
- 1 tbsp peanut butter
- 1 tbsp ground flaxseed
- 1 tbsp unsweetened applesauce
- A pinch of turmeric
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 350°F.
- Mix the pumpkin, egg and oat flour until a soft dough forms.
- Roll into tiny balls, or press into mini cookies.
- Bake 18–22 minutes, until firm on the outside and soft inside.
- Cool fully before serving to your little queen.
If you use the peanut butter booster, check the label and use a plain one — peanut butter containing xylitol (sometimes listed as birch sugar) is toxic to dogs. Pumpkin supports digestion, oats are gentle and hypoallergenic, the egg adds protein and structure, and the soft texture suits Cavaliers. Keeps in the fridge 5–7 days, or the freezer up to 3 months.
